About me:
I am researcher at Dept of Marine Plankton, Institute of Opceanography since 1980. My background is biology and taxonomy of phytoplankton with emphasis on Dinoflagellates. In the present project I am interesting in the ecological function of a tropical estuary in terms of nutrient loads, changes in biodiversity, primary production, nutrient transport, food web structures, and natural biological disasters.

Doan Nhu Hai About me:
I have been working at Institute of Oceanography since 1993. My research consists of biology and ecology of phytoplankton with focus on taxonomy of haptophytes and diatoms. My broad interests are biological oceanography including interaction among the trophic levels within the microbial foodweb; diversity and role of pico- and nanoplankton in the system; optical properties of waters and roles of nutrient stoichiometry and physical forces on plankton communities. I teach at the university at both levels, undergraduate and postgraduate, about plankton and marine ecology. I also supervise MSc and PhD students.
